We're 30 weeks today!
As much as I'd like to say time flies for this pregnancy, it hasn't! Apart from fatigue, I'm plagued with back pain and lots of tummy discomforts. I'm lots bigger this time around and it sure hasn't been easy trying to keep up with the toddler. Baby k2 is thriving. We get lots of kicks and movements everyday, so much that it keeps me up on some nights. This little boy ( yes a boy!) is proving to be a handful even in the womb! I really can't wait to meet him....
The 2.5 year old toddler
She is so much fun. We've had our challenges, especially with a mummy who is short tempered with the lack of sleep and discomfort and her going through her obstinate twos....but we're doing well. She is so caring towards her friends and the amount of love she conveys to the family....it fills my heart. We share many precious moments snuggle up in bed and on the couch, whispering I love yous and giving kisses. She's a social butterfly, often seeking out friends in the playground and getting very attached to family and friends. She is also well spoken and articulate, and I'm immensely proud of this trait! There are not many kids her age who can have a decent conversation with an adult. She even knows that she she is going to be a big sister and is often giving my huge huge tummy a kiss at her own will! We'll see if this continues when baby brother is here....
She's still tiny for her age, but we've since accepted that she will be a petite little missus. A pocket rocket! My job as a mummy would be to teach her to eat healthy and well balanced meals. Speaking of lil missus, she is a fan of dress ups and all things girly. I am loving that side of her, we often play dress ups and she is more likely to put on a pretty dress to go out than crabby play cloths ( which is not often practical!)
Bye 2015
The year has certainly flown past and I am so grateful to have had a wonderful year. It has been so good spending time with my little one. Work is picking up for Twitchy too so we are breathing a little easier with one income. There are still no regrets quitting my job to care for baby k, but we certainly have been very mindful of our spending for the most of year year. Work began picking up very quickly for Twitchy towards the last quarter of the year. He was traveling every week up to the week leading to Christmas. It was challenging being pregnant and caring for a toddler and not having hubby around as much to help out.....but I survived!
Xmas was good this year.....and the below just sums up what it really was about
The looks on baby k's face meeting Santa and opening presents....it's one that will forever be ingrained in my memory and I will cherish it forever. At 2.5 years old she filled our hearts with Christmas joy and spirit.
Anyway....enough rambling for now. Thank you 2015 for being such a wonderful year. Here's to 2016.
